Follow live: Facing elimination, Yankees turn to CC Sabathia

With Yankees fans on their feet, Rick Porcello battles Aaron Hicks in a critical nine pitch at-bat and finally gets him to pop up to second baseman Ian Kinsler in right field. That one sucked a little life out of Yankee Stadium; if Hicks reaches, Aaron Judge comes up as the tying run. Instead, it’s 4-1 after five. Porcello has thrown 65 pitches, but has just one strikeout and Matt Barnes was warming up. His night could be over after five innings.
